The Hirschau with the beautiful Hirschau beer garden is centrally located in the English Garden. It lies right in the middle of the southern and northern parts of the English Garden.
It offers a great atmosphere in the shade of large, old chestnut trees. It is the favorite beer garden for many children and parents, as there is a great playground.
Hirschau Munich & Hirschau beer garden in the heart of the English Garden
It is popular with locals and visitors to the English Garden alike, mainly because it is not quite as crowded as the tourist magnets Chinaturm and Seehaus.
The beer garden includes a restaurant serving fine Bavarian cuisine. Both are located in the northern part of the English Garden, exactly where the middle ring divides the city park into two parts.
Don’t worry, the middle ring can’t be heard in the Hirschau Munich.

The history of the Hirschau Munich
The Hirschau Munich is named after the many wild and forest animals that used to live in the northern Isar floodplains. It was first mentioned on city maps in 1808.
The “Zum Hasenstall” restaurant opened on this site in 1840. 20 years later, the inn was mentioned in a travel guide as an excursion destination. The inn and beer garden were renovated in 2013.
