If you want to immerse yourself in Japanese culture and craftsmanship, this is the place to be. The Japan Festival takes place in the English Garden, right next to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.englischer-garten-muenchen-infos.de\/en\/sights\/japanese-teahouse-kanshoan\/\">Kanshoan Japanese Tea House<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.englischer-garten-muenchen-infos.de\/en\/sights\/haus-der-kunst-munich-museum-am-englischen-garten\/\">Haus der Kunst<\/a>.  <\/p>\n<p>This year there will also be a cosplay competition with lots of attractive prizes (information on the competition, registration and procedure can be found below). For this reason, many clubs give an insight into their skills and you can take part for as long as you like. All the organizers and helpers involved do this on a voluntary basis.  <\/p>\n<p>The Japan Festival is organized by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.djg-muenchen.de\/japanfest\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">German-Japanese Society<\/a> in Bavaria e.V., the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.muenchen.de.emb-japan.go.jp\/itprtop_de\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Japanese Consulate General Munich<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.japanclub-munich.de\/de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Japan Club Munich e.V<\/a>. Bonsais, kendo, ikebana and much more delight many visitors and delicious delicacies tickle open-minded palates. Different stages with a changing program as well as a hands-on offer delight all generations, so that you can really immerse yourself in Japanese culture. It is a traditional Japanese dance and there is a hands-on introduction for the audience before the performance. Take the plunge, because it&#8217;s fun to try out new things!
