The motto of the IAA Mobility

“The IAA Mobility is the place where the whole world of mobility meets in Munich. The focus is on a topic that affects us all: mobility determines how we live, how we work and how we experience our world. Under the motto ‘Experience Connected Mobility’, we will be showing in Munich what the mobility of the future will look like. Shaping this is huge – and the key lies in the combination of sustainability and digitalization. Moreover, the IAA MOBILITY is not about a single means of transportation. Rather, it is about connecting the mobility ecosystem and demonstrating solutions that put people at the center,” said VDA President Hildegard Müller at the press conference for the IAA MOBILITY.

Bicycle test track promotes the interactive character of the IAA MOBILITY

For the first time, visitors to the IAA MOBILITY can test the latest bicycles and e-bikes in Munich’s English Garden. The Bavarian Administration of State Palaces, Gardens and Lakes has approved a corresponding test route. The test track is available to all visitors free of charge during the IAA MOBILITY between September 5 and 10.

“With the bike test track in the English Garden, visitors can test the latest e-bike and bike models on a designated route and in a popular environment. This is the logical complement to the interactive character of the IAA MOBILITY. Experience in everyday use benefits users and manufacturers alike. This is exactly what characterizes a mobility platform like the IAA MOBILITY,” says Jürgen Mindel, Managing Director of the VDA.

“The e-bike will play an important role in future mobility. Once again, we see the IAA MOBILITY as a good platform for communicating our vision of mobility and our passion for the product to visitors,” says Tomi Viiala, Co-CEO of myStromer AG.

Bikes and e-bikes can be tested on circuits of varying lengths of up to 3.8 kilometers. The exhibitors’ presentation areas are located in the Hofgarten and on Ludwigstraße. From there, visitors can cycle through the English Garden to Kleinhesseloher See. All bike exhibitors have the opportunity to offer contingents for testing.
