Chinese Tower
The beer garden at the Chinaturm is the most famous beer garden in the English Garden. It is popular with Munich residents as well as newcomers and tourists. The beer benches are arranged around the beautiful Chinese pagoda, where the brass band plays on many days in summer. It is located in the southern part of the English Garden.
Seehaus
The Seehaus beer garden is located south of the middle ring road. The tables and benches extend right up to the shore of Kleinhesseloher See. The time-honored building from 1840 in Hirschau was renovated in 2013 with great attention to detail. Today it has a very stylish dining room and ballroom with seating for up to 200 guests. In culinary terms, a piece of Munich’s food tradition is combined with modern culinary art.
The entrance to the restaurant is right next to the beer garden. The slightly recessed summer terrace, right next to the restaurant, is a particularly quiet and beautiful place to sit. The cuisine offers Bavarian-Mediterranean delicacies with seasonal specialties. A large parking lot is available.
This good Bavarian restaurant is located directly at the entrance to the English Garden at Keferstraße 12. It has a rustic dining room made of dark wood and a beautiful little front garden. Classic Bavarian dishes are served in a dignified atmosphere and a quiet beer garden. The duck is highly recommended.
Restaurant St. Emmerams Mühle (currently closed)
You will find the St. Emmeramsmühle with its rustic dining room in the northern part of the English Garden in Oberföhring. When you leave the English Garden over the bridge to Sperrvogelstraße, you will come directly to it.

Milchhäusl
The organic snack bar “Milchhäusl” has 100% Bavarian organic food on the menu. Sitting in one of the decommissioned gondolas of an old ski lift is particularly fun. Mini Hofbräuhaus
The mini Hofbräuhaus in the northern half of the Englischer Garten is a popular place to visit.
Contact point for dog owners. Here you will find everything you need to satisfy a small appetite, as well as schnitzel and other hot dishes. However, you shouldn’t be bothered by dogs, as they generally run free here.
Kiosk Fräulein Müller
If you want to grab a snack before your walk, Fräulein Müller on Gunzenrainerstraße is the place to go. Next to the nicely laid out tables at the kiosk is the smallest beach in the world with just four sun loungers. The English Garden is only 50 meters away.
Tivoli Pavilion
The Tivoli Pavilion, diagonally opposite the Hirschau parking lot, provides drinks, ice cream, sweets and small snacks. Seating is also available.

The Golden Bar in the English Garden is located directly at the back of the Haus der Kunst. It’s a really cool bar, steeped in history, which revives the flair of old lounges and combines it with new facets of design. The frescoes of the Goldene Bar München were painted over after the war and uncovered again at the beginning of 2000. They are preserved in their original form.
