Hirschau beer garden
Hirschau beer garden: Family-friendly in the heart of the English Garden. 🎵 With a large playground & live music in summer!
It offers a great atmosphere in the shade of large, old chestnut trees.
The four best known, from south to north, are the beer garden at Chinese Tower, the Seehaus, the Hirschau beer garden and the Aumeister Biergarten.
Traditional snack in the English Garden beer garden
The largest and best known is the beer garden at the Chinese Tower, butthe Seehaus scores with its cool celebrity factor. Both are located in the southern part of the English Garden and can be reached on foot in a short walk.
With 7,000 seats, the beer garden at the Chinese Tower is the second largest in Munich. The Bavarian brass band, which provides a good atmosphere directly on the Chinise Tower on selected days, is very popular.
Parking is available on site at both beer gardens for a fee. However, the parking lot areas do not have too many spaces.
Special delicacy – the “Steckerlfish” in the beer garden
Hirschau and Aumeister beer gardens are located in the northern part of the English Garden. Parking is also available on site.
The parking lot at the quieter Aumeister is even relatively large, so there is a good chance of finding a parking space. At Hirschau, parking is still possible along Gyslingstraße. There is also a tennis court next to the Hirschau beer garden. You can find more information on the Tennis Hirschau website.
Tip: in summer there is a music program with live bands in the Hirschau beer garden. It also has the most beautiful children’s playground.

Beer garden with restaurant
All four beer gardens have their own restaurants, all of which offer excellent food. Traditional Bavarian dishes as well as culinary delights are on offer. The prices are “Munich prices”.
In the beer gardens themselves, classic Obazda, oven-fresh giant pretzels, grilled chicken and Steckerlfisch, knuckle of pork and all other beer garden specialties are served. There is also coffee and cake. All in all, there is plenty of choice.
Not to forget the quaffable Maß beer, which is served freshly tapped in a 1-liter mug.
