The Hirschau Munich with its beautiful Hirschau beer garden with seating for around 1,800 people, the restaurant and the Restaurant 1804 can be found centrally in the English Garden. It lies right in the middle of the southern and northern parts of the English Garden.

It offers a great atmosphere in the shade of large, old chestnut trees. It is the favorite beer garden for many children and parents, as there is a great playground.
Hirschau Biergarten – Restaurant in the heart of the English Garden
The restaurant is popular with locals and visitors to the English Garden alike, mainly because it is not quite as crowded as the tourist magnets Chinesischer Turm and Seehaus.

The beer garden includes the Michelin-starred restaurant 1804 with upscale, regional cuisine. Both are located at the beginning of the northern part of the English Garden, exactly where the middle ring divides the city park into two parts.
Don’t worry – you won’t hear the middle ring in the beer garden or restaurant.

The Hirschau beer garden – particularly family-friendly
Right next to the beer garden is a wonderful children’s playground with a large pirate ship, a ropeway and lots of climbing facilities. The children can let off steam, are well occupied and parents have the opportunity to enjoy their snack and beer in peace and quiet.

Steckerlfisch in the Hirschau beer garden

A real classic is the Steckerlfisch – freshly grilled fish on a wooden skewer, cooked over open embers. The name comes from the Bavarian word “Steckerl”, which means “little stick”.
Mackerel and trout are particularly popular. A Steckerlfisch is simply part of a typical Munich beer garden visit and is a real part of the Bavarian way of life.
